Who We Are

Big Time Gators Youth Football Group is a newer organization based out of Fredericksburg, VA. We have three different youth programs that we are starting for your children to be a part of! We are an organization who wants to give back to their community by giving kids a safe and creative outlet to express themselves. Whether they're a bit more competitive and older for the 10U program or still learning the basics like in the 7U and 8U programs, we'll be there to guide them every step of the way. Placing your kids in our hands would mean that we are here to help them become the best version of themselves while still having fun and learning to have what it takes to be a Gator!

I am from Jacksonville NC but I moved to Fredericksburg VA years ago. I have been doing sports training over 20 years. I have been coaching for 20 years. My first goal is to do my best to make sure every kid understands the game and has a great skill set too. This Travel league football organization called BTG GATORS( BIG TIME GATORS) is for any kids that live in the area or the surrounding areas too. Every kid has a dream to become a BIG TIME PLAYER and I want every kid to become the best athlete they can be. I have trained over 80 players that have went D1, D2, or D3 for college football. (Jordan Hall, Chanz Wiggins, Ike Daniels, Jordan Barnett, Jamal Thomas, Aiden Fisher, Christian Young, AJ Felton, Jaiden Fair, Robert Winters, Daniel Coles, Collin Vaughn, Tahj Smith, Jermaine Anderson, Donavan Phillips, Jalen Smith, Debo, Elijah Surratt, and many more. Plus a lot of high school stars right now like Savion Hiter, Torie Martin, Christian Olivella, Jamari Ward, Dakota Butler, Noah Manning, Princeton Watson, Chief Watson, Caleb Smith, and many more.

I'm Coach Desmond Spates aka "Money" from Woodbridge, VA. I've been coaching youth travel league football since 2017 to now. I've won state championships during 2017, 2019, & 2023. Regional championship & national runner up champions in 2017 & 2023. Additionally, I've been the CEO of College Ready Athletics speed & agility training since 2020. I'm also a former HBCU running back at Fort Valley State University & Livingstone College.
